Cover image submissions

ASBMB is seeking original images from our member community to feature on the covers of upcoming issues of our member magazine, ASBMB Today. This is your opportunity to showcase your creativity while highlighting the wonder and impact of molecular life sciences.

Upcoming magazine themes

  • Aging (Winter issue): molecular and cellular processes of aging, longevity research, age-related disease, and the science of living longer, healthier lives.
    Deadline: Nov. 14
  • The Science of Learning (Spring issue): from the molecular details of how learning and memory occur to innovative higher education practices and teaching approaches in the molecular life sciences.
    Deadline: Feb. 27

Submission parameters

  • Dimensions: Images must be sized for an 8.5 x 11-inch cover, portrait orientation.
  • Resolution: Minimum 300 dpi at full size (2550 x 3300 pixels).
  • Format: TIFF, PNG, or high-quality JPEG files are accepted.
  • Originality: Please only submit original work (microscopy images, data visualizations, illustrations or photographs you created). AI-generated work is allowed (indicate the tool you used in the description of your work).

Selected images will be featured on the cover of ASBMB Today, with full credit given to the creator and will be featured in a short article online.
