In 2016, President Barak Obama announced the National Cancer Moonshot in an effort accelerate research towards curing all forms of cancer. The 21st Century Cures Act authorized the federal government to provide $4.8 billion in funding for this initiative over the next 10 years at the National Institutes of Health. In this webinar, Dr. Dinah Singer, acting deputy director for the National Cancer Institute, will provide an overview of the Cancer Moonshot at the NIH and highlight ways that basic researchers can engage in this important initiative.
