What can I do with my chemistry/biology degree?

An ASBMB career panel and networking event

March 19, 2024 | 4–6 p.m. | The College of New Jersey, Ewing, N.J.

A panel of scientists from local private industry (e.g. biotechnology), the public sector (government and/or non-profit agencies) and academic institutions will engage in an interactive discussion about their professional journeys as scientists, and how, despite having similar academic credentials, each landed on a different career path. An informal networking session with light refreshments will follow, providing attendees and panelists with an opportunity to connect among one another and with professional scientists from local universities and industry partners.

Space is limited to ~75 attendees on a first come, first served basis. Registration will close on Friday, March 8.

Who should attend

  • Undergraduate students, graduate students and postdoctoral fellows in the biological sciences and adjacent fields
  • Local professionals at all stages of their careers
  • Membership in ASBMB is not required to participate
