DEI in precision medicine: successes, challenges and paths ahead

Nov. 10, 2022 | 3–4 p.m. Eastern | Free registration required

Advancements in DNA sequencing technologies have enabled a new era in precision medicine. However, our current DNA databases do not represent the diversity of human species. If we don’t increase genomics' access to underrepresented populations, we run the risk of adding to current health inequities. Thus, progress of precision medicine in the genomics era will depend on enrolling diverse populations in research. In this webinar, we will discuss current strategies, recent success and the road ahead at both national and state level to move towards a more diverse, equitable and inclusive precision medicine initiative.
