The pleiotropic roles of lipids in disease

July 1, 2020 | Duration: 36 mins.

Changes in lipid metabolism are linked to disease states, including senescence, recovery from injury and metabolic syndrome. With studies of systemwide lipidomics in aging and adipose tissue-specific responses to lipid signals, this session examines ways that lipids can harm or help in disease states.

The talks in this virtual event were originally programmed to take place as an in-person Spotlight Session at the 2020 ASBMB Annual Meeting.
