ASBMB Leadership Awards
Due to the cancellation of the 2020 ASBMB Annual Meeting, the 2020 Annual Awards will be presented at the 2021 ASBMB Annual Meeting in Indianapolis.
Nominations for the 2022 ASBMB Annual Awards will open in early 2021.
The ASBMB Leadership Awards recognize individuals with a strong commitment to advancing the careers of women in biochemistry and molecular biology along with demonstrated excellence in research, discovery and/or service.
The ASBMB Early-Career Leadership Award honors an individual who is an associate professor, assistant professor or equivalent and with no more than 15 years of experience since receiving a Ph.D. and/or M.D.
The ASBMB Mid-Career Leadership Award recognizes those at the full professor or senior scientist level.
The awards were instituted in 2020 and are given annually by the ASBMB Women in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology Committee.
Both nominees and nominators must be members. Self-nominations are encouraged.
The award consists of a plaque, $500 and travel expenses for the ASBMB annual meeting.
