Group memberships

ASBMB group membership empowers your department to stay connected to science, advance discovery, and fully participate with the scientific community.

Keep your department connected to the forefront of scientific discovery with an ASBMB group membership. Your department will have access to the latest research, cutting-edge meetings, publications and programs that advance discovery, while staying engaged with a vibrant global community of researchers driving discovery through biochemistry and molecular biology in academia, industry, government and beyond.

ASBMB members enjoy exclusive benefits — including reduced article processing charges to four open access journals spanning the breadth of molecular life science research, and discounts on meeting registration and abstract submissions — making it easier for your department to collaborate, learn and contribute together.

ASBMB group membership categories are based on group size, and discounts apply to early-career, graduate and undergraduate members to support the next generation.

  • Tier 1: 10–19 members — 10% discount for next generation categories
  • Tier 2: 20–29 members — 15% discount for next generation categories
  • Tier 3: 30 members or more — 20% discount for next generation categories

Group memberships may include any number of members across all member types. Discounted dues apply only to eligible member categories (early-career, graduate and undergraduate). Members who are not eligible for the discount — including Student Chapter members — will be charged at the standard rate, but they will still count toward the total group size used to determine the applicable discount tier.

To purchase a group membership, please contact membership@asbmb.org. ASBMB will provide your institution with an invoice based on your group membership roster.
