Bert and Natalie Vallee Award in Biomedical Science

Nomination deadline: April 30 Nominate

The Bert and Natalie Vallee Award in Biomedical Science is awarded to an established scientist for outstanding accomplishments in basic biomedical research.

Nominations must originate from ASBMB members; however, the nominee need not be an ASBMB member.

The award consists of $10,000, a plaque and travel expenses for attendance at the ASBMB annual meeting to present a lecture.

The Bert and Natalie Valle Award in Biomedical Science was established by The Valle Foundation (formerly known as the Bert and N. Kuggie Valle Foundation) in 2012 to recognize international achievements in the sciences basic to medicine.

Nomination process

Submit the following:

  1. Nomination letter listing nominee's achievements (not to exceed two pages)
  2. Condensed curriculum vitae or NIH Biosketch (note the Ph.D. or M.D. degree and date received)
  3. List of the nominee's five most significant publications
  4. Two letters of support (required)
