ASBMB Herbert Tabor Research Award
The ASBMB Herbert Tabor Research Award is given for outstanding, innovative accomplishments in biological chemistry and molecular biology and contributions to the community of scientists. This award is the society's highest honor and was established in recognition of the long-standing contributions of Dr. Herb Tabor to the ASBMB and to scientific communication through its journals.
Both nominees and nominators must be ASBMB members and nominees must have published in the Journal of Biological Chemistry.
The award consists of a plaque, a $30,000 research award and travel expenses to present a plenary lecture at the ASBMB annual meeting.
Nomination process
Submit the following:
- Nomination letter listing nominee's achievements (not to exceed two pages)
- Condensed curriculum vitae or NIH Biosketch (note the Ph.D. or M.D. degree and date received)
- Nominee's publication in the Journal of Biological Chemistry
- List of the nominee's five most significant publications
- Two letters of support (required)
