Catalyst Conversations

Southwest Regional Catalyst Conversations

The American Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology and the University of San Diego invite you to the Southwest Regional Catalyst Conversation on Saturday March 7, 2020.

This year the Southwest Regional Catalyst Conversation workshop is using a hybrid format (onsite and virtual) to allow members of this large region to have a more accessible way to interact if they are unable to make it to either host sites.

Joseph Provost, Jessica Bell, and Ellis Bell are hosting the event at the University of San Diego with Chad Park hosting a site at the University of Arizona, Tucson. You may attend in person at either site, or as a completely virtual participant. Either way, please bring a laptop and headphones to give you flexibility in attending the breakout sessions

We hope you can attend in either form, strengthen your ideas about BMB education and research, and extend your professional network.

For undergraduate students, we are hosting a Virtual Student Poster Session where students can present a three-minute flash presentation of their poster and receive feedback from faculty. This is a great way to get ready for the undergraduate student poster competition at the ASBMB annual meeting in San Diego. A participant can register as a student and submit an abstract to present. Students will present via Zoom from their computer. They will receive further instructions and appropriate Zoom links after they register.

Registration for this event is free! The deadline to register and submit an abstract is Sunday, March 1
