This workshop is designed to increase participant knowledge and use of student assessment techniques around the pre-identified biochemistry and molecular biology foundational concepts and skills and to actively engage participants in creating assessment tools and best practices.  This workshop is open to all undergraduate faculty, postdoctoral fellows, and graduate students interested in undergraduate science education.

Presenters: Teaster Baird (San Francisco State University), Ellis Bell (University of Richmond), Michael Cox (University of Wisconsin Madison), and Joseph Provost (University of San Diego)

San Francisco State University is located in San Francisco which is 50 miles from San Jose, CA; 90 miles from Sacramento, CA; and 325 miles from Santa Barbara, CA. Science Educators from these area institutions will be invited to participate in this workshop.

Assistance: A small number of stipends (up to $100 each) are available to help defray the cost of lodging.  These stipends are provided based on need and on a first come first served bases.  Please inquire with Weiyi Zhao.
