Promoting Active Learning & Mentoring project
The PALM network was established to spark sustained biology education reform at diverse institutions through one-on-one mentorships for faculty members new to approaches based on Vision and Change recommendations. The ASBMB is a partner society in the PALM network. ASBMB members can apply for PALM fellowships, which provide funding for mentoring visits and meeting travel.

The ASBMB offers a policy fellowship and brings postdocs to Washington, D.C. for the society's annual Capitol Hill day. The society also leads a grassroots advocacy campaign to enable scientists to advocate virtually.

The project website contains information on the society-developed foundational concepts of biochemistry and molecular biology, course materials and assessment instruments and tools. The project originally was funded by the National Science Foundation.
