Subject: Attending the 2016 ASBMB Annual Meeting

I would like to attend the 2016 ASBMB Annual Meeting, which will be held in conjunction with the 2016 Experimental Biology conference April 2-6, 2016, in San Diego.

The Experimental Biology conference draws more than 14,000 scientists and exhibitors. It features a multidisciplinary group of speakers and poster sessions for more than 400 research topics and includes workshops, networking activities and on-site career services.

Attending the meeting will allow me to:

• learn about emerging research, trends and techniques in my field
• enhance my presentation skills through an oral or poster presentation
• network with other scientists to form connections that will enhance our research efforts
• develop skills to become more competitive in my field

By registering early, I can take advantage of registration and travel discounts. If I submit an abstract by the Nov. 5 deadline, I may be eligible to apply for a travel award of up to $1,000.

Attending the ASBMB Annual Meeting will enable me to bring new techniques, knowledge and potential research collaborations back to our lab. I also will strengthen my presentation skills and raise the profile of our institution.

Thank you for considering this request. I look forward to your reply.

Regards,
