Pfeffer Bio
Dr. Pfeffer is President of ASBMB (2010-2012). A professor of Biochemistry at Stanford University School of Medicine, Pfeffer's research focuses on the molecular basis of receptor trafficking in human cells. Pfeffer has been a Stanford faculty member since 1986, and served as Chairman of the Stanford Department of Biochemistry from 1998-2006. She received her A.B. in Biochemistry from the University of California at Berkeley, her Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Biophysics from the University of California at San Francisco (UCSF), and carried out postdoctoral research at UCSF and Stanford.
