FASEB’s steering committee now is focused on developing a white paper articulating the major recommendations that emerged from the meeting. The report also will incorporate the findings from a FASEB survey of nearly 4,000 member society scientists conducted to gather information about basic scientists’ interest in translation and the challenges they perceive to moving their research programs in that direction. When finalized, the report will serve as the basis for future FASEB policy efforts in this area.
