Essays


This issue features several short essays. One is by Lynn Mirigian, a postdoc at the National Institutes of Health and an intern at ASBMB, who writes about the lessons she learned while fishing with her dad. In a small special section, several scientists who were affected by Hurricane Katrina, which devastated the Gulf Coast 10 years ago, reflect on the storm's effects on their lives.
