New York Times Asks How to Improve STEM Education

September 3, 2013- The Science section of today's New York Times has an article containing suggestions for improving STEM education. Titled "Ideas for Improving Science Education in the U.S.", the piece solicited responses from STEM professionals, Nobel Laureates, and students about what would make learning classroom science more effective. A common refrain was to provide students more hands-on training, in particular by having them interact with working scientists.
