Office of Scientific Research  


Discovers, shapes, and champions basic science that profoundly impacts the future Air Force. 





Army Educational Outreach Program 


Engages and guides students and teachers in STEM education. 


Historically Black College and Universities/Minority Institutions Research Education Partnership 


Enhances research programs and capabilities in scientific and engineering disciplines critical to the national security functions of the DoD; encourages greater participation in DoD programs and activities; increases the number of graduates, including underrepresented minorities, in the STEM fields; and encourages research and educational collaboration with other institutions of higher education.  




Office of Naval Research  


Fosters an interest in, knowledge of, and study in science, technology, engineering and mathematics nationwide to ensure an educated and well-prepared naval and national STEM workforce.  






 National Defense Education Program 


Fosters a new generation of scientists, mathematicians, engineers and technologists who will one day discover and problem solve in the nation's defense laboratories.
