Math and Science Partnership 


Raises the achievement levels of all students and significantly reduces achievement gaps in the STEM performance of diverse student populations. 




Presidential Awards for Excellence in Science, Mathematics and Engineering Mentoring 


Identifies and supports outstanding mentoring efforts that enhance the participation and retention of individuals who might not otherwise have considered or had access to opportunities in STEM. 




Integrative Graduate Education and Research Traineeship Program 


Establishes new models for graduate education and training in a fertile environment for collaborative research that transcends traditional disciplinary boundaries. 




Research on Gender in Science and Engineering 


Builds resources toward the goal of broadening the participation of girls and young women in STEM education from kindergarten through undergraduate education, with particular attention paid to transition points in educational trajectories. 




Tribal Colleges and Universities Program 


Promotes high quality STEM education, research, and outreach at Tribal Colleges and Universities, Alaska Native-serving institutions, and Native Hawaiian-serving institutions 




Research Experiences for Teachers in Engineering and Computer Science 


Helps build long-term collaborative partnerships between K-12 STEM teachers, community college faculty, and the NSF university research community. 




Geoscience Education 


Increases public understanding of Earth system science and fosters recruitment, training and retention of a diverse and skilled geoscience workforce for the future. 




Global Learning and Observations to Benefit the Environment 


Improves science education, enhance environmental awareness, and increases understanding of the Earth as a System.
