UAN applications and renewals for the 2013-14 school year will be accepted starting August 15, 2013. The chapter renewal/application deadline is November 30, 2013.

Starting with the 2013-14 school year, UAN student membership fees have been reduced to $10 per student or $100 per chapter for up to 10 members.
All UAN chapters must be sponsored by a faculty advisor (FA) who is a regular active member of the ASBMB. This FA will be the primary contact for the chapter's activities. The sponsoring FA may identify student members and submit annually an online UAN membership application/renewal and a fee of $100 (for up to 10 students). A minimum of 5 students are required to receive full UAN member benefits. Additional student members may be added throughout the year at $10 per student (above 10).
Individual Student Members Interested in the UAN:
If an individual ASBMB student member at an institution that does not have a faculty advisor or a UAN Chapter wishes to start a UAN, please contact Weiyi Zhao, ASBMB Manager of Education and Professional Development, for assistance in starting a new chapter.
Multiple UAN Chapters at a Single Institution:
Universities with distinctly different departments wishing to have more than one UAN chapter within the institution must submit a request for approval by ASBMB and the UAN Committee prior to submitting applications and membership fees. Please submit such requests to Weiyi Zhao.
