ASBMB Award for Exemplary Contributions to Education

The Society created this award in 2005. It is administered by the ASBMB Education & Professional Development Committee.

The Award will be given annually to a scientist who encourages effective teaching and learning of biochemistry and molecular biology through his/her own teaching, leadership in education, writing, educational research, mentoring or public enlightenment. Nominations must be originated by Society members, but the nominees need not be ASBMB members. The Award will consist of a cash prize of $3,000, and the winner will present a plenary symposium lecture at the 2014 ASBMB Annual meeting.
