Concept Inventories

Concept inventory is a set of questions (inventory) designed to test whether students understood a particular concept.  The questions must be agreed upon by a large, diverse group of subject experts and rigorously tested for validity and reliability

A biochemistry and molecular biology concept inventory can be used by faculty to help guide their teaching through identifying core concepts, understanding commone student misconceptions, developing course content that is structured around the core concepts, and designing classroom assessments that capture students' understanding of biochemistry and molecular biology core concepts.
