Undergraduate Faculty Travel Award Description
The ASBMB will competitively award reimbursable travel funding of up to $500 to assist Undergraduate Faculty presenting research (abstract submission required) at the ASBMB Annual Meeting held in conjunction with Experimental Biology 2012 in San Diego, CA.
Preference is given to faculty advisors of ASBMB Undergraduate Affiliates Network (UAN) member institutions. Want to join the UAN? Click here for details

Required Supporting Documents:
The following supporting documents are required for Undergraduate Faculty Travel Award applications only.
Supporting documents must be uploaded as either .jpg or .pdf files. All other file types must be converted to .jpg or .pdf.
Name each file with your name and the document item as in the following,
Last Name_First Initial_Document Type.pdf or .jpg, example: Smith_A_Objectives.pdf or .jpg.
- COURSE LIST, a list of courses you teach and description of the student population
- ATTENDANCE OBJECTIVES, a 1-2 page statement explaining your objectives in attending the meeting and describing your plans for achieving these objectives once you return to your institution
- ABSTRACT, a copy of your 'successfully submitted' abstract. Applicant must be the first author of an abstract submission that is unique from any student abstract submissions. See the Submission Instructions page for a complete list of abstract criteria.
Poster Competition Judges
The ASBMB Undergraduate Student Research Poster Competition Organizing Committee is seeking faculty members to volunteer as judges for the competition on Saturday, April 21, 2012. You must arrive by 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 21, 2012, to attend a Judges Orientation Session. Lunch will be provided to judges at the orientation.
You will not be asked to judge poster presentations by students from your institution.
No special weight will be given to any travel award application regardless of whether or not an applicant elects to volunteer as a judge.
