Graduate and Postdoctoral Travel Award Description

Travel Awards are available to assist graduate students or postdoctoral fellows presenting their research (abstract submission required) at the ASBMB Annual Meeting, held in conjunction with Experimental Biology 2012 in San Diego, CA.

Awarded applicants will be reimbursed up to a maximum of $1,000 towards qualifying meeting related travel expenses.

Preference will be given to ASBMB members.

U.S. residency is not required for this award.

A letter of recommendation is required from each applicant's current research advisor and must be uploaded as part of the applicant's online travel award application.  An advisor may recommend only one student or postdoctoral fellow for a travel award.  Multiple recommendation letters from a single advisor cannot be accepted at this time and will lead to disqualification of applicants.

Address the letter of support to "ASBMB Travel Award Review Committee."  Letter must be on institution letterhead and include the advisor's signature.

The letter should address the following:
1) Scientific merit of applicant's work
