Winthrop Participates in SC Junior Academy of Sciences Meeting
June 2, 2010 - The UAN Chapter at Winthrop presented two students with the Outstanding Science Fair Award for a Biochemistry or Molecular Biology Related Project during the South Carolina Junior Academy of Sciences Meeting held on April 17th, 2010. Winners of the awards are:
Nicole Lynn Henderson, a 12th grader from South Carolina Governor's School for Sciences and Mathematics. The title of her project is "An Analysis of Collagen Production in Skin in regards to the Matricellular Protein SPARC and the Pro1 N-Propeptide"

Ming Yee Wong, a 10th grader from Spring Valley High School. The title of her project is "A Bioinformatics Analysis of the Conserved Domains of Aquaporin Proteins in Homo sapiens and Arabidopsis thaliana"

TTU Chapter Presents Three Science Fair Awards
April 14, 2010 - UAN Chapter at Tennessee Tech University participated as judges during the 56th Annual Cumberland Plateau Regional Science and Engineering Fair held on the Tennessee Tech campus. Three students from local high schools received the ASBMB UAN High School Science Fair Award.

Winthrop University UAN Participates in 2010 SCJAS Annual Meeting

March 23, 2010 - Winthrop University UAN chapter will be participating in the 2010 South Carolina Junior Academy of Sciences Annual Meeting on April 17, 2010 at the College of Charleston in Charleston, South Carolina. High School students from across South Carolina will be presenting their research during this meeting and Winthrop UAN students will be there to judge and present two awards for outstanding projects in biological and biochemical sciences on behalf of ASBMB.
TTU Hosts Annual Cumberland Plateau Regional Science and Engineering Fair

March 9, 2010 - Tennessee Technological University will host the 56th Annual Cumberland Plateau Regional Science and Engineering Fair on March 20, 2010 in the Roaden University Center. TTU UAN chapter students will be judging posters by 9-12th graders. Top two presenters will be awarded the ASBM UAN Science Fair Award.
