Nature
reports that a proposed new rule that would require universities and medical
schools to publicly disclose online any financial arrangements that they
believe could unduly influence the work of their NIH-funded researchers
has been dropped.
Following up on this story, the Nature News Blog reports that Sen. Charles Grassley, R-Iowa, is urging the White House to enforce the proposed rule.
